“The Niche rankings affirm that Ƶis thriving because of the students who choose to come here."
Ƶ has been named the rankings. These rankings update throughout the year as new institutional data and student feedback are processed, offering a current picture of how students and families experience Christian higher education.
’s methodology combines public data from the U.S. Department of Education with millions of verified student and alumni reviews. Factors include academics, value, professors, campus quality, diversity, student life, and local area. Public datasets are refreshed annually, while school-submitted data and student reviews are processed monthly — meaning rankings can shift over time as schools update information or as more students share their experiences.
“The Niche rankings affirm that Ƶis thriving because of the students who choose to come here,” says Derek Buteyn, Director of Students and Residence Life and Associate Dean of Students. “What’s exciting is that they are the driving force behind our campus culture. They are investing in a place where they can grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and dedicate their time here to becoming who God has called them to be. Their residential experience acts as a lab — a place where they test and refine ideas, worship together, join small groups, and have late-night conversations that shape them. These experiences grow them into faithful servants who go on to impact their homes, workplaces, churches, and communities.”
This recognition affirms Dordt’s ongoing commitment to providing a rigorous, faith-focused education where students are equipped to think deeply, act with integrity, and serve God’s kingdom in all areas of life.
